Nimbus cowl by ‘Purl Soho’ review

Nimbus Cowl in Line Weight (Peony Pink)
and Tussock (Pink Fog)

I love this cowl, and it is an understatement. This is one of the most heavenly project that I have ever made. This pattern is free from Purl Soho. It uses half a skein of Line Weight, which is a 100% merino wool yarn, and one skein (very close to one) skien of Tussock, which is 60% mohair and 40% silk.

This is knitted in the round, with 5 decreases as you knit up, creating a funnel shape. The bottom is meant to be worn with rolled edges. The first one I made was in the color Peony Pink and Pink Fog. The 2 yarns are held together and knitted for 10 inches in height, and the merino wool yarn is dropped and just knit the mohair/silk solo. I knitted the Tussock solo portion longer than the pattern, since there is no use of the leftover yarn anyways. This is such a delight to wear. I made the 2nd and 3rd one in Lotus Flower and Bright Thistle.

6 inches of Tussock solo instead of 4 inches.

This is for my sister in the same colors above
but with 4 inches of Tussock solo
