This kit includes 4 balls of The wool, a set of 15 mm knitting needles in wood, which I opt out, a label that you can sew on the finished product (which said knitted by myself), and a couple sewing needles.
Cost breakdown: 4 skeins of yarn $96, the kit was $109 with the needles, $97 without the needles. So the pattern ended up costing me $1. I am a beginner, but experienced knitters can probably tell the pattern just by looking at the picture.
I do not have to have any “new” skills after the Strelitzia scarf, which is good, because I feel really accomplished. This blanket is only about 2 feet wide, so sitting on my couch, it is barely wide enough to cover myself. I made it longer since I have yarn left so I continued knitting. Will I make it again? Probably not. I feel the size is very odd, like a beach towel. I do enjoy using it while sitting on my couch.
